Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995
The purpose of the Act is to ensure partnership and cooperation between the government, employers, and workers to ensure health and safety in the workplace. Regulation-
Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 1997
The regulation has been created to prevent certain hazards which may produce injury or illness in the workplace by setting out legal requirements. The regulation covers information as to how to apply for certificates of registration, a certificate to work in a prescribed occupation, a certificate of authority to appoint a workplace health and safety officer, a certificate of appointment as an accredited provider, and a certificate to perform a prescribed activity.

Codes of Practice-
These are a way of managing exposure to risks. If a code of practice exists for a risk at your workplace, you must do what the code says or adopt another way that identifies and manages exposure to the risk and take reasonable precautions and exercise due care.
Ministerial Notice-
These are urgent workplace warnings and they are created when a situation happens in the workplace where someone is put in serious risk of harm. It impacts any existing regulations as it automatically and immediately overrides any regulation.
General Obligations (as an employee)-
As an employee you have an obligation to follow the instructions given for workplace health and safety, you must not place yourself or others in risk of injury or illness. And you must use any safety protection equipment if available to prevent any incidents from occurring.
